I think ultimately it just comes down to adults not liking being told what to do. They want to do it because they want to do it, not because they have to. it's just human nature.

Definitely isn't sound logic. I thought that the argument for not making helmet laws was more one of civil liberties. People should have the choice and can assume the risk if they choose not to wear a helmet. They can already see stats that show the number of fatalities that happen with and without helmets so I don't really see this argument as holding much water.
Helmets save lives, what I find funny is those who say "I wear one anyways but by choice its shouldn't be law". Considering you already wear one what skin do you have in the game to lose? In fact you don't get an opinion any longer ![]() |

Bebo | Also true. Cities and states make a lot of money of giving traffic tickets. I rarely hear about traffic laws being taken away but I do hear about them being implemented from time to time. |

I bet one of the reasons they implement these laws is just for another reason to ticket you and make some money. |

The AMA Does not CARE about you They have been actively campaigning against helmet laws in the name of safety. Can you say surreal? Oh and their logic, if helmets become mandatory than 100% of all motorcycle fatalities will be wearing a helmet, and when that happens then they will ban motorcycles all together. This just in, 100% of all car crashes happen in cars, 100% of all car crashes occur with seatbelts in the vicinity have we banned those yet? Or what about the 100% of mining accidents that happen while mining? http://backmarker-bikewriter.blogspo...ainst.html?m=0 |
