Yea I think that i do like the more old school design, at least with this style of bike. Victory tends to make classic style bikes. A brand like Suzuki, or Kawasaki or Yamaha have much more modern bike designs, but the appeal of a Victory bike to me is its respect for classic styling.

Many companies are doing neo-retro bikes. I think that Victory could do that as well. Some of these sketches look too modern and don't look retro enough to me. Victory needs to try something new but I think they should focus on coming up with a new engine as their first priority.

It's also a good time for them to get into it, seems like the whole retro look and styling is more in now than it was years ago.

I wonder who is to credit for it, like who started this trend of retro styling and who brought it back,

I think that it is a trend that is happening to the whole of society, not just the motorcycle industry. For example, record players and vinyls are coming back with a vengeance. You can also see it in fashion too. It's just a part of a larger cultural shift IMO.
