Victory Gunner Virtual Test Ride has Realistic Responses
What's the next best thing to actually riding the Victory Gunner? How about a virtual test ride using the Oculus Rift?
The Victory Virtual Ride was presented at the Progressive International Motorcycle Show in Chicago. This isn't just a general motorcycle virtual test ride -- it is configured specifically to the Victory Gunner.
Unlike other virtual reality driving or riding simulations that you may have tried, this system is exciting as it provides accurate responses based on how the Victory Gunner would actually behave in the real world.
The Victory Virtual Ride gives prospective buyers the chance to experience what a big and heavy bike with a lot of torque feels like to ride. All that in a completely safe setting.
Virtual reality could have a big role to play in the future of the auto and motorcycle industries. It can give customers the chance to do test drives more easily. Riders could also have the chance to drive some of the most exciting roads in the world without having to leave home, like the Nurburgring for example. It also would be a great tool for beginner riders. They could practice riding using virtual reality before actually going out on the road. During the winter, riders could go for a virtual ride without having to deal with the bitter cold.
A nice addition to the system would be a fan to simulate that feeling of going fast. Doesn't seem like it would be too hard to configure too.
