Yea picture is up and everything. It looks really good too.

Is this a new purchase, or have you had it around for a while?

Are you happy with it?

Very happy with the 8-ball. A bit of pride in that they are made (assembled at least in IA). I bought it new in 2009, had the swept exhaust put on before I rode it away from the dealer. The seat looks stock but it is actually made by Corbin and has a stiched Victory logo. The windshield works better than I had hopped and I think it fits good (looks good) also.

I would like to get passenger peg brackets but I haven't been able to justify the stealers price. The passenger peg brackets have a third spot on them for attaching the semi-hard bag attachment brackets (that's two sets of brackets), but they seem very stable just using the two attachment points. I like the rear fender carrier seen on some of the GUNNERS but being a septuagenarian I need the bags to carry all my drugs and snacks and extra clothes and such.

The half 8-ball covering the 5-speed badge on the right side is the top of an Avon after-shave bottle stuck on with 3-M outdoor mounting tape (the NEW handyman's secret weapon!)

I was at the local dealer -VICTORY,BMW,HONDA,YAMAHA- today, they said it looks like the early April delivery date for the GUNNER has been pushed back. :-(

THE 8-ball is very comfortable, and I have no problem changing from the very different riding position of the ST's. My feet sometimes hit the deck after I have been riding the ST1300 if I don't remember to stretch my legs out a little further when getting on the 8-ball.

Looking forward to one of you guys posting a first ride report!

would an aftermarket passenger peg not work?

and yes 3M mounting tape is awesome

its the same as 3M automotive double sided adhesive i believe.

Thanks DOMA,

I am primarily interested in the passenger pegs mounting brackets for mounting the semi-soft bags mounting brackets, so I reckon that would require the OEM brackets.

Yup! that is the same tape...awesome stuff!

77° yesterday here in DSM, IA rode 50 miles. 39° today... will this ever end?

Did you get any indication from your dealer how far back the Gunner release is being pushed back? Are we talking till the summer, or past that into the fall or winter?

=====================

Yup, me too. I would think The release can not go much past MAY without serious P.R. damage to Victory.
