Victory Gunner Speculation Thread

From the Victory website:

Quote:
A 106ci full-size urban cruiser that outclasses the competition by handling itself as well on the highway as it does downtown.
a good place to start, but where does that take us?

Urban is city, concrete jungle if you will. This type of riding enviro demands different features than your average bagger. Not every biker is looking to lay down 200 miles on a Sunday. Ths Gunner could fit into that inner city poker run type scene.

we could be looking at something like this:

Victory does have some precedent in their lineup we can go off. We could be seeing the Victory Gunner show up with Highball style fat front rubber, no fender. Bobber indicates solo seat, minimal or no rear fender and some kind of shorty style pipe. There seems to be a consensus out there that the Gunner is going to be a parts bin bike. One of the more popular configurations being bandied about is the likely hood that the Gunner is a Judge with Highball cues. Tins and bars probably. Prime competition for the Victory Gunner could be the venerable Harley Davidson Sportster.

Victory Highball:

Victory Judge:

The other interesting option floating around is a Cafeish Victory. Picture the Judge with clip-ons single seat, short fender. If it goes that route it could mirror the Arlen Ness Judge:

Either way, its all going down on February 8th.

The one thing we know is that it will have that awesome engine in it. Other than that it is mostly a case of what style bike it will be. I think that a cafe racer style bike would be a good move for Victory. That style bike is popular right now and it also matches with Victory's general loo and style.

I love what Victory is doing! This should keep all of the manufacturers stepping out of the design box that have all been trapped in. Would love to see pics of the new Gunner. I know somebody has one. I promise not to tell where I saw it. Pinky swear !!

i doubt that boys. The gunner seems to be a parts bin bike... It very possible its just a highball with a bobber style pan seat. Might even be a true hard tail, but i doubt it..

I think a good way of judging is to figure out which of the harley models it best competes with.

agreed, I think thats a modified highball. Something along those lines is extremely possible for the Gunner...

well those were custom, we won't see something to that extent right from Victory but we will see custom gunners, that's for sure.
